Meaning of Luke 9:49,50
by truthlover123 inthese two verses indicate that "others" were preaching in jesus' name and when the apostles reported it to him, he said "let him alone for he who is with us is not against us".... since the wtbts states they are the only way to salvation, what does this scripture mean?
others have the right to salvation as well - straight from jesus' mouth- as long as they preach ( in the verse it says expel demons as well) using jesus name?

Jesus made it clear that he did not want a hierarchical structure to carry his message. God has always been against the consolidation of power derived from some sort of global cabal.
Starting with the Tower of Babel, God was against globalism. Today their are hundreds of thousands of individually run churches. We used to criticize this arrangement as JW's. But the reason God wants this diffusion is apparent: If a particular association goes apostate and heretical, the damage is limited. The structure is very flat, compartmentalized, and resistant to fundamental change. A fundamental change would be something like Mary is a co-mediator with Christ; or teaching that Jesus isn't the Mediator for the average Christian today. Mormons teach that unless you go through their priesthood, there is no salvation.
But, it could be something much simpler, like some local pastor imagining himself as an apostle receiving new and direct doctrinal revelations from God. Or, maybe some pastor does something to hurt a lot of people. In these cases, the congregation can get rid of him and and the damage is localized.
Jesus obviously encouraged individual acts of faith without coming under some ecclesiastical authority first. -

Well said! But, In my opinion, The Watchtower really doesn't have it's own brand per se. Rather, it presents itself as one particular well-known brand all the while knowing that it is just the opposite.
For instance, all Christians accept Christ as their Mediator between them and God's justice. It's what makes them ... well, a Christian. But, JW recruits are not told that Jesus is not the Mediator for the average Witness before they are baptized. But it's too late for those that finally figure that out later... the trap has been set.
Extreme deception; different than a brand.

Who is the Saviour?
by JW Answers inthis is for those who are interested in bible study.. the jehovah's witnesses claim that only the father is god, and thus teach he was the saviour in the old testament.
the bible teaches that god says "there is no saviour beside me".
therefore how is it, that the lord jesus christ is called the saviour of the world?.

Virtually the entire JW membership has always seemed to be under some kind of spell. I remember back in 1975 that everyone just forgot about all the lies, false profits, & failed predictions as if it never even happened. It really blew my mind as a 13 year old in 1976 to witness the "amnesia" first hand.
That was the year I started smoking pot as a way of coping with the stress of losing faith in just about anything, especially my parents. I pretty much got stoned everyday until I was old enough to leave home. I went to a KH meeting once on mushrooms. Made a lot more sense and was far more interesting. ;-)I ended up in prison on a drug charge at age 19 and served 10 months behind bars. Best thing that ever happened to me. I got sober and learned to think a little for myself.
My uncle sold his house (with four kids in it) to pioneer in '75. He "stayed alive till '75".... but not much longer. He died a Df'd alcoholic tens years or so later. He wasn't as fortunate as I was.
To this day my family believes that there is something wrong with me and not their false prophets. God forbid that anyone should criticize their
holyprophets and hold them accountable. Sociopathic zombies. -

Whole Study Article on Commenting at Meetings
by JW_Rogue ini guess less people are commenting now.
last week's whole wt study was dedicating to the issue of commenting.
people were literally making comments about how to comment, it was very meta (not that most there would get that), anyway the main reason that wt gave to explain away people's lack of commenting?

The entire process is designed to produce uniformity and zero actual learning. This was one of the primary things among JW's that really irritated me as a young person.
